FAQs

  • Q: What if I think my vehicle is included in the recall?
A: Check your vehicle's specific VIN using any or all of the resources listed above. Please continue to check periodically because it may take several days to weeks for Acura to discover every vehicle affected.

  • Q: What should I do if my vehicle is under recall?
    A:
By law, you are required to receive a mailed notice from Honda stating that your vehicle needs to be repaired. This letter will have on it the Department of Transportation and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration logos. If you receive this, please call our dealership at your earliest convenience to schedule a free service appointment.

  • Q: When will the replacement parts be available?
    A:
Due to the high number of recalls, part availability has been backlogged, but if you are concerned about driving your vehicle, a loaner may be available to you. The NHTSA has prioritized the highest risk vehicles first to ensure defective inflators are replaced quickly. In the meantime, please do not disable your air bag before your vehicle is repaired.
